2022 Re-election

The reason that I am running for re-election to the Bellflower Unified Board of Education is to continue to be an advocate for students. Now that we have a student Board member I am excited to provide governance along a colleague that represents what our governance is about, students. I believe that over the last four years I have demonstrated a deep commitment to the education of all of Bellflower students and stakeholders during a time when governance of all school districts provided many unknowns. These unknowns forced education to be innovative and lead with courage more than ever. While I am a parent of both children who have attended and graduated from the north end of the District, my decisions have always been predicated upon what is best for the District as a whole. I am passionate about ensuring that all of our children get the best possible education that will enable them to have choices to continue their post graduate education or career pathways. I have also demonstrated the leadership ability to make the tough decisions that have had to be made. Over the next four years, with a new Superintendent, we will need to make some tough decisions to improve our educational outcomes by ensuring we are all working collaboratively. I ask for your support to continue to be one of your elected educational advocates for the Bellflower Unified School District’s governance team.
